There are about 850 km of cycle paths in the Tachov District, which have been maintained by individual microregions. There also are international paths crossing the border.
Some paths are a part of the national cecly paths net e.g. "Magistrála Český les - CT 36" (Bohemian Forest Main Path) or "Cyklotrasa Přátelství - CT 37" (Friendship Cycle path) .
"Sklářská cesta" ( Glass blowers path)
is an international cycle path under the No. 2171.
It starts at the Rychta facility and follows to Světce, across Světce, Zlatý potok, Křížový kámen to Silberhütte on the German side wherefrom it will be signed to Weiden. This cycle path was founded by the "Zlatý potok" club in cooperation with Tachov Town.It has four lay-byes with covered benches and the map of the region. Every Saturday from May 3 to August 30 a hut in Zlatý potok is opened to tourists and bikers providing beverages or information on the cycle paths. everyday weather news, opening dates of the hut and a lot of other useful information may be found on www.slz-silberhütte.de.
